Autumn in the Karelian State Philharmonic is marked not only by the beginning of the concert season. International chamber art festival has been starting every october for thirty years already. It annually presents interesting performers to the public, both young and experienced in fame, offers programmes for all tastes - classical music and jazz, instrumental and vocal music, different music styles from baroque to modern ones. The variety of music is one of the main ideas of the festival.
For a long time, the festival was known as the Days of Chamber Music. In 2008 the festival acquired a new status and also a new name. It became Chamber art festival Autumn Lyre. The new poetic and musical name symbolizes a combination of different genres of music that has now become the festival's motto
