Festivals

This festival is a special creative project of Vadim Kholodenko for Petrozavodsk. The attention is paid to the music of the 20th century, which is bright and rich with musical genres. Outstanding soloists, world-class artists are invited to participate in the festival.

Concertino is a festival primarily for the pleasure of children. There are no prizes and competitive excitement here. It only has the joy of communicating with music and professional musicians.

The Autumn Lyre festival annually presents interesting performers to Petrozavodsk, both young and experienced ones, offers programmes for every taste, from classical music to jazz.

The festival Onego-Classic brings together outstanding artists on the stage of the Karelian Philharmonic. They present to the public original programmes full of rare style combinations, non-standard instrumental ensembles, favourite music and music that is being played in Karelia for the first time.

The festival takes place at the Kondopoga Arts Palace. Organizers of the festival are Dina Ikhina and Denis Makhankov (St. Petersburg). The festival is supported by the Karelian State Philharmonic.

Every August the marble rocks of the Ruskeala Mountain Park become a natural scenery for an open-air music festival. The guests of the festival are attracted not only by the programme of the event and the brilliant cast of performers but also by the opportunity to visit a unique monument of nature and industry.
